During the holidays, gift giving is often a fun and important part of family celebrations.  If you are anything like me, each year it gets a little harder to choose “the perfect gift.”  We want our gifts to be meaningful and also remembered. Rather than hitting the mall, or endless shopping online searching for the right present, why not offer something they’ll cherish?  A piece of jewelry, knick knack, antique or other heirloom that you have treasured could now be passed on to your loved one for their enjoyment and safe keeping.

By offering this heirloom now, you are able to delight in the expression on their face when you explain the story and importance of the piece.  With a culture that is prone to materialism, an item with true sentimental meaning, with history, is bound to be appreciated by your loved one this holiday.

I have given a few rings to my nieces.  They have often expressed to me how much they love the gift and what it has meant to them to receive it.  It warms my heart and has proven to be so much more meaningful than the easily forgotten “store-bought” gifts.

When gifting, remember to provide the story with the item.  Perhaps a hand written note, or an entry into your Heirloom Vault for safe keeping – so the lucky recipient can carry the story and the sentiment on into the future!
